It’s arrived. Hackers! is a full-colour, 12-page, quarterly newspaper packed with entertaining creations and ideas, features on artists, scientists, and everything inbetween. Read about laser-powered bongs, hacking time, new games for old 8-bits, side- channel attacks, Victorian hackers, combination locks and plenty more.
“Why hackers? I kept seeing this very fresh, very motivated creativity everywhere, individuals quietly looking for possibilities to subvert and improve given systems and technologies with their ideas – and refusing to accept that it can’t be done. There was a shared attitude, but no single place to go to find it all. So I spotted a gap for a new publication, respectfully and professionally produced, but made in the spirit of hacking rather than simply reporting on it. Hacking has many meanings – it’s as much about ingenious problem-solving as it is about mischief. People are beginning to realise that, and that’s definitely something to celebrate.”
Issue 1 will be available to buy online again shortly, in the meantime, get in touch and I’ll put one aside for you.
Collect in person by coming to the Newspaper Club offices in Shoreditch. It’s the “RIG” buzzer.
Here’s the PDF press release with some more info!
There are no plans to supply a PDF version of the newspaper at present, but we may do so in the future.
Any questions, please email editor at hackerspaper.com

Please find a friend in the US to distribute these here. The post cost is unbearable.
Thanks for your interest and comment, we may look into that if there is a lot of interest from the US.
Just in case it’s not clear: the price on the drop-down menu is for the paper PLUS the postage, not just the postage!
There is a “collect in person” in the postage options, but I can’t find your address.
Good point, amended. They can be picked up from the Newspaper Club offices on Scrutton Street:

Contents looks interesting and layout and typesetting gorgeous ! Are there any alternatives to interaction with one of the many lackeys of the Slavemasters for payment ?
I think you would have good chances of generating some non-trivial momentum among technical crowds if you initially can get it distributed in a larger area. It is a unique publication and there could definitely be market outside UK too. Good luck !
Many thanks for your support! May have to look into alternatives, as it turns out Paypal takes quite a cut. Wider distribution would be very exciting, wouldn’t it – let’s see how issue 1 goes down…
Any chance of offering a subscription model at some point soon?
There’s a chance – again, will have to see how the first one goes down. If people are keen for more it’d be a really good thing to offer.

Why no PDF version? I’d pay.
PDFs are sort of against the Newspaper Club (newspaperclub.co.uk) ethic, but maybe once issue 2 is out!

Thank you for the kind comment Derry. Yes, I feel it has tremendous potential. As you can see on the drop down, I am prepared to post individual copies anywhere in the world. Anything more sophisticated than that is currently a bit too much work for one person, unfortunately.
